April 26: Mendeley Advanced: Collaboration and Annotation

Attendees of this workshop will be able to set up a collaborative group to share Mendeley.com collections and attached files, and use Mendeley tools to annotate entries and attached PDF files.
April 28: Engaging with Community Partners to Gain Funding
In this panel discussion, key professionals from the university will offer insights into preparing for gaining funding for community-oriented research or programs, starting with locating the right funding opportunities. Learn more.
April 29: Publishing Drop-In Session: Ask Anything About Publishing An Open Access Journal In Digital Scholarship@UNLV

The Scholarly Communication Initiatives department invites UNLV researchers to ask their questions about open access journal hosting using Digital Scholarship@UNLV. The sessions will be structured with a brief introduction to the topic at the beginning and on the half-hour, and will move on to participant questions in the order received. Participants may join (and leave) at any time during the hour.
Ambassadors are highly visible members of the Graduate College team helping to build a strong graduate student Rebel community and strengthen ties between the Graduate College, alumni, and community members by participating in on- and off-campus events.
RAMP pairs undergraduate and graduate students -- who are overseen by a faculty mentor -- on research/scholarly/creative projects to provide them with the opportunity to learn from one another and gain valuable skills. Graduate student applications are due April 30. Undergraduate student applications are due June 30.

Cocurricular Certifications
The Graduate College offers three yearlong cocurricular certifications in the areas of research, teaching, and mentorship.
The Grad Rebel Writing Boot Camp assists students working on major writing pieces, including theses, dissertations, and publications. The summer Grad Rebel Writing Boot Camp session will take place Aug. 9-13.
The Graduate College is looking for graduate students to be mentors in the Grad Rebel Advantage program, which helps prepare UNLV undergraduate students for graduate school at UNLV or elsewhere. Mentors must have completed at least one year of graduate studies at UNLV by the program start date, be enrolled in at least 3 graduate credits while serving as a mentor in both fall and spring semesters, and be in good academic standing. Graduate and undergraduate student applications are due June 30.
This event will provide UNLV students and alumnx with the opportunity to connect with numerous employers from a variety of industries. The fair will take place in Handshake. Be sure you have a Handshake account to participate. Learn more.
UNLV is hosting an in-person commencement ceremony at Sam Boyd Stadium for all master's, specialist, doctoral, and professional degree graduates from 2020 and candidates from Spring 2021. Learn more.
The Graduate College will be celebrating the university's Spring 2021 doctoral graduates at a virtual reception hosted on Remo, a virtual event platform that allows guests to join tables and interact with small groups of people at a time.
