Maintaining Status: Updating Your Address & Phone in FlashLine

Any changes to your immigration record, such as major or minor, require you to update ISSS within 10 days of that change. The same goes for your address and phone number. Here are the steps to update ISSS:

Go into FlashLine
Click on “Settings” in your left-hand menu
Scroll down and click on “Addresses & Phone Numbers”
Next, click “Update Address and Phones”
Under “Type of Address to Insert” choose “Local Address”
Save the information once you update it.

It is simple and taking 2 minutes to update this information keeps you in status! Questions? Stop in to the Office of Global Education and ask our front desk for assistance.

Student Spotlight: Najat Khamis

Najat is an international student from Oman in the Higher Education Master's program and Kent State University. InterCLE 2019, September 7

Global Cleveland, an organization that is dedicated to serving international newcomers, is hosting a welcome event for international students across Northeast Ohio. At this event you can meet with other international students, community and social organizations, businesses, religious institutions, and area attractions. This is a *free event* and the Office of Global Education will be providing *free transportation* to/from the event. Register below for your seat on the bus!

UHS Health Insurance and Waiver

All international students are required to have health insurance here at Kent State. If you are an international student who is sponsored by your government, you need to submit a copy of your financial guarantee to One Stop for Student Services in order to have a waiver placed on your student account. If you have insurance through a U.S. employer, you may be eligible for the International Student Health Insurance Waiver. The deadline to apply or submit your financial guarantee is September 30, 2019. Please go to the link below for more information.
