In a time of decreasing applications and competition for quality students, the Graduate College needs your help in recruiting the best and brightest to apply to UNLV. We want to hear from you about how we can help your department increase applications and your admit-to-matriculation yield. Did you know that we offer a variety of recruitment services that are listed on our website? Below are some of the things you can do to recruit students to your program: Automated department communications: Have you filled out the automated department communication survey yet? Email your prospective and admitted students automatically throughout the application process. Your students can hear directly from you when we build your automated communications into the Grad Rebel Gateway! Submit your survey here and we will build your communications! Purchase a GRE prospect list: Purchasing a list of names of students who may meet your admissions requirements is a great way to potentially increase your applicant pool. Students submit biographical information, academic information, test scores, and preference of study when scheduling a test, and this information is at your disposal once you purchase a record of names. Online interviews: Use our holistic admissions interview tool, Kira, to recruit the best students into your program by rating online, pre-recorded interviews across different competencies that are important to being successful in your programs. Fee waivers: You can pay for student application fees by submitting an IDR to the Graduate College for student application fees, recruiting the best and brightest to apply! Info sessions and in-house events: Invite us to your department info sessions! We would love to have a presence at any prospective student events you may already be hosting. We can even collect your sign-in sheets to enter your leads into the Grad Rebel Gateway. These leads can then be converted and start receiving automated communications and encouragements to apply! Reach out to UNLV undergrads: Invite us to speak at your undergraduate 400-level or capstone classes. We would love to present on the merits and processes of graduate school to your interested undergrads! Campus tours: The Graduate College regularly provides campus tours to prospective students. Invite your prospects to meet with members of our recruitment team and set up tours of our beautiful new space at the University Gateway Building and the rest of campus. Our team is always available at gradrecruitment@unlv.edu! Chat online with international students: Set up a virtual chat or presentation in our online platform, College Week Live, to speak directly with international student leads. Email lori.filippo@unlv.edu to discuss hosting a live department chat! Graduate College workshops: Invite interested students to a Graduate College prospective student workshop. We host semesterly workshops and info sessions to help students with the application process, answer questions, and assess student needs. Our Spring 2020 schedule can be found here!
