Hello Grad Rebels,
Welcome to the fall 2021 semester! I hope your first week was great.
I’m reaching out today with several important pieces of information. Thank you for reading the information below thoroughly:
S/U Grading
The Nevada System of Higher Education authorized UNLV to provide the option of Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory (S/U) grading. To support students during the COVID-19 resurgence, UNLV’s senior academic leadership decided to offer S/U grading for the summer 2021 and fall 2021 semesters. The equivalencies for graduate students are: S = “B-” or better and U = “C+” or lower. To learn more, including about deadlines to request S/U grading and things to consider before doing so, visit the Graduate College COVID-19 webpage and navigate to “Requests to Change Summer 2021 and Fall 2021 Courses to S/U Grading“ under “Information for Current Students.”
Resources for Internet Access
Through the Cox Cares program, UNLV offers subsidies for internet service to students who do not have home internet access. Computer labs on campus are open also. Students planning to participate in a remote class from a computer lab must bring their own headphones.
Technology Loan Program
The Office of Information Technology has a limited supply of computers, webcams, and microphones for students to borrow for the semester. Complete the Technology Loan Program request form to be considered.
