Grad Rebel Gateway – What’s Next?
The Grad Rebel Gateway now includes current student data which opens up a number of options and possibilities to us. For one, it has allowed us to make our student forms electronic. As most of you know, students now complete their forms online, which then automatically route to the required signatories. We have a number of additional features, some of which are listed below, surrounding current students scheduled for release in the upcoming year.
  • Students will be divided into early, mid, or late career. This will allow us to target communications and events to the appropriate audience so that students receive the information they need at the time that they need it.
  • Next we will be incorporating the Professional Development Academy into the Gateway. We’ll be able to better track students involved in any of our programs or certifications and display this information to them in their portal.
  • We are going to be moving the Application for Graduation into the Gateway as an electronic form. This will allow us to better track and report on expected graduation. Additionally, we will be able to prevent students from applying for graduation if they have not submitted certain required forms, like their Plan of Study.
  • Having current student data in the Gateway will allow us to build additional reports and dashboards for departmental use. It will also allow us to more easily send targeted communications to our students, whether it’s an email to all graduate students, those on a leave of absence, those on probation, or those who have applied to graduate.
  • Additionally, a new contact us form will be available on the Gateway for students to submit questions directly to the appropriate Graduate College team.
