Dec. 18: Teaching for Learning Conference: Call for Proposals
The annual regional Teaching for Learning Conference will take place virtually on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021. The theme of this year's conference is "Overcoming Distance, Disruption, and Distraction" and features keynote speaker James Lang, author of Small Teaching and Distracted: Why Students Can't Focus and What You Can Do About It. Conference organizers are accepting proposals until Dec. 18. Learn more.
Dec. 11: Beyond the Professoriate: 3 Skills Every Ph.D. Should Have When They Graduate

This webinar will explore the steps grad students should be taking to gain the skills non-academic employers desire. Attendees will be able to develop a plan to gain linear work experience while in school, incorporate strategies for balancing self-employment and side hustles with their studies, and connect their skills to career paths that align with their professional goals.

Campus Resources Available Over Winter Break

15 clinics will operate on normal hours, staffed by faculty physicians and graduate medical residents.

UNLV Medicine will care for in-patients 24/7 at University Medical Center and Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.
Patients who need in-person or after-hours care can visit the Health Center After Hours Care page for more resources, which include urgent care facilities and emergency rooms near the main UNLV campus.
