New Graduate Student Orientation and Graduate Assistant Orientation Are Virtual This Year
On Aug. 10, all new graduate students and all graduate assistants were given access to New Graduate Student Orientation and Graduate Assistant Orientation modules in
WebCampus/Canvas. To prepare for life as a UNLV graduate student, all new graduate students are required to view the New Graduate Student Orientation modules and complete the tasks. All graduate assistants, including those who are returning, are required to view the Graduate Assistant Orientation modules and complete the tasks to ensure they have all the up-to-date information they need in this dynamic and changing educational environment. Graduate Commons Reopen This Semester
The Gateway Graduate Commons at the
University Gateway Building has reopened. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The Lied Graduate Commons at Lied Library will reopen on Sunday, Aug. 30. Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday, closed; and Sunday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Masks are required and eating is prohibited in both Commons.

Aug. 24: Last Day to Submit Format Revisions - Summer 2020 Graduates
Last day for summer 2020 graduates to submit thesis/dissertation format revisions to the Graduate College. All final, properly formatted theses, dissertations, and doctoral projects must be submitted to the Graduate College via email by the end of the day. Please see the Thesis/Dissertation Format Review page for more details. Learn more.
Aug. 31: Last Day for Electronic Submissions to ProQuest - Summer 2020 Graduates
Last day for summer 2020 graduates to submit the electronic version of their final thesis/dissertation/doctoral project (with formatting pre-approved by the Graduate College) to ProQuest. Learn more.
Oct. 5: Fall 2020 Student Health Insurance Waivers Due
The student health insurance waiver period for graduate and professional students for the fall 2020 semester is May 4-Oct. 5, 2020. Students must complete a waiver once every academic year. Students who don't submit a waiver by Oct. 5 will be required to pay for the student health insurance. Waivers completed in previous years will not carry over.
