April 22: Bayard Rustin Institutional Research Fellowship
Whittier College seeks a social science researcher to fill the inaugural Bayard Rustin Institutional Research Fellowship. Applicants may be either recent Ph.D.s or in the writing stage of the dissertation. In addition to a yearly salary, this fellowship provides ample time for writing while engaging in applied research that is focused on equity within the higher education liberal arts environment.

April 26: Las Vegas Hometown Higher Education Scholarship
UNLV's Minority-Serving Institution Task Force Student Council presents the Las Vegas Hometown Higher Education Scholarship, which will award a stipend of $2,500 to two eligible students. To be eligible, you must be admitted to UNLV's College of Education Higher Education program and you must be an alum of UNLV or of a local public or charter school.

Ambassadors are highly visible members of the Graduate College team helping to build a strong graduate student Rebel community and strengthen ties between the Graduate College, alumni, and community members by participating in on- and off-campus events.
RAMP pairs undergraduate and graduate students -- who are overseen by a faculty mentor -- on research/scholarly/creative projects to provide them with the opportunity to learn from one another and gain valuable skills. Graduate student applications are due April 30. Undergraduate student applications are due June 30.

The Graduate College offers three yearlong cocurricular certifications in the areas of research, teaching, and mentorship.
The Grad Rebel Writing Boot Camp assists students working on major writing pieces, including theses, dissertations, and publications. The summer Grad Rebel Writing Boot Camp session will take place Aug. 9-13.

April 19: Thrive in Y(our) Story: Dance Workshop

The purpose of this event is to create awareness of Sexual Assault Awareness Month and provide a safe space for victims-survivors to learn about new healing tools. The focus of the workshop will be to reconstruct the idea of what dance is, how it can help attendees express themselves, and how dance can help others through their roads of recovery.
