GRAD REBEL MENTOR
November 2019

Scholarships and fellowships change the lives of graduate students by providing financial support and reducing time to degree. Last year, the Graduate College awarded more than 160 scholarships and fellowships, totaling more than $900,000.

We are pleased to once again offer a variety of merit-based scholarships and fellowships for the 2020-21 academic year.

Some of our fellowships award up to $30,000 and are given over multiple years.

This year, we are happy to launch the Grad Rebel Doctoral Finishing Fellowship program, which is designed to support doctoral students in the final semester and encourage graduation. These are single semester awards in the amount of $12,000 designed to cover the fellow’s tuition, fees, health insurance benefits, and a stipend.

Students must submit scholarship and fellowship applications through the Grad Rebel Gateway by Dec 1.

Faculty members who are listed by students as recommendation providers will be notified via email and have until Dec. 15 to upload letters of recommendation. It is important that letters of recommendation are submitted on time as incomplete applications will not be considered.

Please encourage your students to apply for our scholarships and fellowships. Graduate funding can make a lasting impact.
