Thesis/Dissertation Office Hours
The Graduate College thesis/dissertation office hours are held remotely on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12-2 p.m. Email grad.td@unlv.edu at least 48 hours in advance to schedule a time to meet online and get your thesis/dissertation questions answered.
Ambassadors are highly visible members of the Graduate College team helping to build a strong graduate student Rebel community and strengthen ties between the Graduate College, alumni, and community members by participating in on- and off-campus events.
RAMP pairs undergraduate and graduate students -- who are overseen by a faculty mentor -- on research/scholarly/creative projects to provide them with the opportunity to learn from one another and gain valuable skills. Graduate student applications are due June 1. Undergraduate student applications are due June 30.

Co-curricular Certifications
The Graduate College offers three yearlong co-curricular certifications in the areas of research, teaching, and mentorship.
The Grad Rebel Writing Boot Camp assists students working on major writing pieces, including theses, dissertations, and publications. The summer Grad Rebel Writing Boot Camp session will take place Aug. 9-13.
The Graduate College is looking for graduate students to be mentors in the Grad Rebel Advantage program, which helps prepare UNLV undergraduate students for graduate school at UNLV or elsewhere. Mentors must have completed at least one year of graduate studies at UNLV by the program start date, be enrolled in at least 3 graduate credits while serving as a mentor in both fall and spring semesters, and be in good academic standing. Graduate and undergraduate student applications are due June 30.
UNLV is hosting an in-person Commencement ceremony at Sam Boyd Stadium
for all master's, specialist, doctoral, and professional degree graduates from 2020 and candidates from Spring 2021. Learn more.
If you are a 2020 or Spring 2021 graduate, you should have received an email from UNLV Tickets regarding how to obtain your ticket as a graduate for the in-person Commencement ceremony. Guests must also have a ticket. Learn more.
Please note that doctoral graduates will need to pick up name cards from the designated check-in tent and hand them to name readers before making their way across the Commencement stage. Master's and specialist graduates who ordered regalia online or who received a name card from the UNLV Bookstore but need a replacement must also visit the designated check-in tent to obtain a name card.
The Graduate College will be celebrating the university's Spring 2021 doctoral graduates at a virtual reception hosted on Remo, a virtual event platform that allows guests to join tables and interact with small groups of people at a time. Please RSVP by May 12.

Stay Active During Finals Week
Make sure to take breaks and stay active during finals week! The Student Recreation & Wellness Center is open. Court sports are back, and equipment rentals are available with your RebelCard. Also, locker rentals must be renewed by Saturday, May 15 to keep them through the summer. New locker rentals will go on sale Monday, May 24. Masks must be worn at all times in the Student Recreation & Wellness Center.
